I was born in sunny California but have lived in many places;  New Jersey, Germany, Canada and Mississippi. Currently I am residing in the Ozarks in beautiful Northwest Arkansas.

I know the importance that photographs play in our lives. One simple photograph can say more than a hundred words could ever begin to describe. One photograph can bring you to tears filled with either joy or sorrow. They are not just objects of art but also tell a story. Photographs are ageless, even if they fade or become tattered and torn, they are still cherished from generation to generation keeping memories alive.

I’ve always been interested in photography as far back as I can remember. My father was a photography enthusiast and I traveled many places all over the globe with him as he captured life’s moments as they happened. When I was old enough, my father handed down his 35mm camera to me. I don’t recall the brand but I do recall it had screw mounted lenses, nothing automatic and it weighed a ton . . . I was hooked!

I photograph many things; nature, landscapes, candids, food, monochrome, concerts, travel, etc., but my primary focus is nature, animals, landscapes and rural living since now I live on a ranch surrounded by nature and all it has to offer. I have a herd of deer that come by daily to be fed, along with possums, feral cats, wild birds, etc.

All of  photographs on this website were taken by myself and are a small sampling to the extensive photo library I have accumulated over the years.  I own three Nikon cameras; a D5200, D80 and a Coolpix S9600.  The majority of the current photographs were shot with the Nikons, some actually with my cellphone, but the vast majority of the older photos were taken with one of the 5 Panasonic Lumix cameras that I use to own and a few with an old Olympus and some even older photos that have been scanned from photos taken with my Minolta 35mm camera.

I highly recommend Adobe Lightroom and Topaz Systems for photo editing.  I only do simple editing, none of the sky switching or adding other elements.  I like to display photos as they appeared to me, so if I visited a castle on a cloudy and gloomy day then that’s what I show.

Photography to me is like a photo essay of places I have been, things I have seen . . . all delivered with my special twist, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
